November 2017

This may be my favorite month of sharing what's on my nightstand to date!  Everyone who knows me - knows I LOVE soup.  And it's on.  I am equally in love with my latest present to myself - A Book That Takes It's Time.  It's full of fun, creativity, and inspiration for the writer and light in you.  Brene Brown's new book, Braving The Wilderness: The Quest For True Belonging And the Courage to Stand Alone, is possibly the best yet - and given our political climate - perfect for the person who wants to move through this challenging time with integrity and clarity.  Britt-Marie Was Here is an audio book that is helping me escape into a beautifully written novel AGAIN by this author.  Finally, two children's books that are equally delightful and insightful for adults are listed below.  Adding them to my private practice waiting room to be enjoyed by the adults that linger there.  Happy reading and growing.

The Soup Bible by Debra Mayhew

A Book That Takes It's Time by Irene Smit and Astrid Vander Hulst

Braving The Wilderness: The Quest For True Belonging And The Courage To Stand Alone by Brene Brown

October 2017

This month I took time off from my nightly reading other than that with my youngest 8 year old son.  These are his top picks for October.  I did, however, spend time listening to Tara Brach's podcast a great deal this month.  Highly recommended.

  • Not shown.  I am fully enjoying listening to A Man Called Ove on Audiobooks.  I can't get enough of this book or the voice of the person who reads it to me.  I posted that I was reading the book in January- and I did - but being read to in this quality is another experience all together.  Happy reading (or listening).
